Program: In the morning, tour the Joseph Schneider Haus, a homestead he established about 1816. It was designated a national historic site of Canada because of its association with the main migration of Pennsylvania-German Mennonites from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to Waterloo County in the early 19th century. A local landmark and Kitchener's oldest dwelling, the 1816 homestead was restored and furnished, then opened as a living history museum in 1981. Its 2020 Artist-in-Residence, Sarah Godfrey, is a hand embroidery artist, illustrator and designer. She is passionate about exploring colour and texture and draws much inspiration from nature and folklore. Her work focuses on reimagining traditional folk art practices and making use of recycled materials by up-cycling clothing through embroidery as part of the sustainable fashion movement.

A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder is an outrageous romp filled with unforgettable music and non-stop laughs! In 1907 London, penniless clerk Monty Navarro is delighted to learn that he’s eighth in line for an earldom. Figuring the odds of outliving his predecessors are slight, he sets off down a sinister path knocking off his relatives one by one. Included is a morning tour the 1850’s pioneer Pennsylvania German Mennonite Joseph Schneider Haus, home of the Canadian Harvest collection of Germanic folk art.
